Welcome to the POINTE

Due to recent changes in our performance location, all performances are currently on hold. We appreciate your patience as we work to find a new venue to showcase our productions.

The Orlando Youth Wind Society (OYWS) is committed to providing unique and professional level performance opportunities for young musicians, while educating and promoting the performance of music for wind and chamber ensembles. With support from FantasyLand Theatrical Productions, OYWS is working to create honors wind ensembles. Unlike a traditional band program, OYWS is focused on developing creative thinking skills along with musicianship, and as such will utilize innovative staging, technical theater, and set design in combination with high-level wind ensemble repertoire to create an unprecedented concert experience. Students will dive deep into the music to develop each performance and will be given the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of the entertainment industry with opportunities to learn technical theater, participate in pit orchestras for musicals, and experience some of the greatest music ever composed for small and large ensembles.

Auditions will be held on August 27th and 28th.

Visit their website for audition registration, performance information, volunteer opportunities, and ways to support the organization: www.oyws.org.
